I Forwarded the Plan I Already Had

I attached the PDF I already had. The AI uses existing plan as the check-in — not a rewrite.

Sunday, 6:22pm. The January PDF was still in Files — 12-week-split-FINAL-v3.pdf, last opened the night I told myself the plan was the problem. It was not. I already knew the walk: after dinner, twenty minutes, weeknights. I did not open ChatGPT. I did not paste the page into another "build me a program" box. I screenshot the first page and attached it to a text to the number I saved after the demo.

The caption was one line: "This is the plan. Use this. Don't write another one."

That is the whole feature. Not a better template. Not a form that makes you retype what you already decided in January. An AI uses existing plan because you sent the existing plan. The file was already finished. The night was not.

Why "use my plan" usually means rewrite it

Search that phrase and you get import wizards, CSV uploads, and chatbots that summarize your PDF into a nicer PDF. The product is still a rewrite. You wanted a witness. You got a translator who charges you in attention.

The usual tools all treat your file as raw material:

I built Aiery because I kept handing the same page to tools that could not wait to replace it. The intelligence was never the bottleneck. The bottleneck is a channel that will treat the screenshot as the commitment — and then still have tonight.

I sent the screenshot. That was the setup.

I already had the contact. I already had the hour in my head. I had not yet given the number the file. Sunday I did. No onboarding screen. No "describe your program in this box." The photo was the program.

Me (Sun 6:24, SMS): [photo of the PDF] "This is the plan. Walk after dinner, 20, weeknights. Protein 140. Don't write a new split."
Aiery: "Got the photo. After-dinner walk, twenty, weeknights. Protein 140. That's the plan I'll use — no rewrite. Check-in tonight 7:40, or name a different hour?"
Me: "7:40 weeknights. Don't add exercises that aren't on the page."
Aiery: "I won't. Walk is the one on the screenshot. 7:40 weeknights — going, 15, or skip. Saturday quiet unless you text."
Me: "That's it. Don't optimize the PDF."
Aiery: "I won't. The plan is the one you forwarded. Tonight I'll ask about that walk."

Aiery (Sun 7:40): "Walk tonight — 20 after dinner, the plan you sent. Going, 15, or skip?"
Me: "Walking. Same as the PDF."
Aiery: "Logged. Plan is still the screenshot. Monday 7:40, same question."

Me (Mon 7:42): "Didn't go. Don't send a new program."
Aiery: "Skip logged. No rewrite. Tuesday is still the walk from the photo. I'll ask at 7:40."

Tuesday I walked because the thread still had Sunday's file. That is the whole difference. ChatGPT would have taken the skip as a prompt to redesign week one. The app would have wanted the workout inside its own grid. The number used the page I already had. An AI uses existing plan is not a slogan. It is a screenshot that survives Monday.

Try it yourself

Call or text free. Forward the plan you already have — a screenshot, a photo of the fridge list, one sentence. See if you get a rewrite, or a check-in on the file you sent.

How forwarding a plan actually works

Aiery is a phone number. You save it. You text the plan you already have — a screenshot of the PDF, a photo of a whiteboard, a voice note that says "the walk in Files, after dinner, twenty." You do not rebuild it in a form. The thread holds the artifact as the commitment. "I already have a plan" is not a reason to wait. It is the attachment.

The mechanism is memory plus outbound SMS, not a parser that owes you a nicer document. It remembered the walk was from the photo. It remembered no new split. Monday's skip did not become a reason to start fresh. If you go quiet, it can text once more, or call, from the same contact. The lock screen still says the name you saved — not a badge from an app that never ingested your PDF.

This is not medical advice and it is not a claim that January's file is perfect. A forwarded plan is not a diagnosis. A bad plan you actually walk is still a walk. A parsed, improved, FINAL-v4 you hide in on Monday is still a Monday on the couch. The product that rewrites your file is protecting its category. The product that keeps the screenshot is protecting the night you already named.

Chat vs app vs a number that keeps your file

I am not more organized than I was the last time I named a file FINAL. I skipped Monday. I still walked Tuesday. The proof is not that I never collect programs. The proof is that the program I already had was allowed to be the program — and the night still got a question. The plan was never missing. A number that would use it without replacing it — that was.
